DECODE Appoints U.K. Licensing Agent for Franny’s Feet

TORONTO/LONDON, August 14: DECODE Entertainment has
appointed Rocket Licensing as the U.K. licensing
agent for its animated preschool property Franny’s Feet.

The appointment follows DECODE
Entertainment’s recently concluded deal with Rainbow Productions for the
rollout of costume characters in Europe. DECODE has also recently signed a licensing
deal with PLAYSKOOL, a division of Hasbro, for the worldwide master toy and
game license for Franny’s Feet. A series
of toys and games incorporating dolls, accessories, role play, games and
puzzles are set to launch in 2008. Additionally, Penguin
Group in the U.S. and Simon & Schuster have come on board as publishing
partners for the U.S. and North America. Grosset & Dunlap, an imprint of
Penguin Young Readers Group is set to launch storybooks, readers,
stickerbooks, a series of novelty books such as board, lift-the-flap and word
game activity books in 2008 and Sımon & Schuster will launch color and activity books and kits that will also roll out
in stores in 2008.

Franny’s Feet is a
commission by Five in the U.K., airing on its Milkshake block, and Canada’s Family Channel. To date, DECODE
has concluded more than 80 television broadcast and video agreements for Franny’s
Feet
, covering more than 150 countries. The
show is currently airing with strong ratings on PBS
in the U.S., ABC Australia, France 5, Disney Channel Germany, Cartoon
Network in Japan, Korea and Taiwan, Italy’s Rai, TV2 Denmark and TV12
Singapore.

Franny’s Feet follows
the adventures of a little girl with magical shoes, with each episode following
Franny off on a different adventure, from meeting
Princess Tia in Egypt or to the mountains of Tibet, where she learns from
Rinchen about Yak herding.

Beth Stevenson, the executive VP
of development and production at DECODE Entertainment, said: “Consumer
