David Auerbach Named Rive Gauche President

LOS ANGELES: David Auerbach has joined Rive Gauche Television as president to spearhead the company’s original programming push for the U.S. and international markets.

Auerbach was previously a programming executive for Warner Bros., responsible for developing, selling and overseeing production of more than 330 hours of prime-time reality programming and more than 3,000 hours for first-run syndication. During his 18 months as senior VP for Warner Horizon Television, Auerbach helped grow the company from one series at a single network to nine series and four pilots across eight different networks. Prior to joining Warner Bros., Auerbach held senior-level programming positions as VP of drama development for Viacom Productions and as executive VP of Alan Landsburg Productions.

"Rive Gauche has been exploring different ways in which we could continue to grow our television business, and when the opportunity arose to partner with David Auerbach we immediately seized upon it," said Jon Kramer, the chairman and CEO of Rive Gauche Television. "David will bring his singular experience in all facets of television development and production, along with his vast network of relationships with producers, talent, agencies and buyers to his new role with Rive Gauche. Mark Rafalowski who has done a great job selling four new shows in the last year, will continue to head up our development and acquisition efforts reporting to David. Under David’s leadership, Rive Gauche Television is poised for an exciting future."

"Rive Gauche has built its reputation as a distributor by demonstrating its ability to maximize revenues for its partners," added Auerbach. "My mission is to build an equally strong reputation for Rive Gauche as a producer by delivering quality content that performs for our partners. I believe that a boutique operation with a sharp focus on reality programming and the ability to act quickly will make Rive Gauche an attractive partner for both producers and programmers."
