Daro Film Distribution Celebrates 25th Birthday at MIPCOM

MONACO, October 2: Daro Film Distribution is celebrating its
25th anniversary this year by rolling out a large selection of new
programs at MIPCOM.

Daro
represents more than 100 production companies from around the world and has a
catalogue ranging from blockbuster theatrical films and action series to TV
movies, cartoons and documentaries.

At MIPCOM, Daro will offer Intelligence, a crime-drama series from writer Chris Haddock and
produced for CBC Canada; the 13×1-hour drama series Da Vinci’s City
Hall
and its TV-movie sequel The
Quality of Life
; the new TV movie thriller Menace; the 2×2-hour mini-series Dragon Boys; Edgemont,
a 70×30-minute teen drama series; the 13×30-minute animated series Pixel
Pinkie
, about a magical, digital genie; and
The Kill Point, an 8×1-hour thriller
from Lionsgate and Spike TV.

Daro also has output deals to represent properties from
Fireworks and Endemol. Daro represents Endemol’s library of TV movies,
mini-series and drama series such as Cold Squad, Beastmaster and Blue Murder. Recent acquisitions from Fireworks include the 22×1-hour crime drama Blood
Ties
and the 13×1-hour drama series JPOD,
which will also be launched at MIPCOM.
