Cyber Group Preps Kids’ Catalogue for Cannes

CANNES: Cyber Group Studios is set to launch new preschool and kids’ series, including Zou, at MIPCOM.

The Paris-based company will showcase the HD CGI series Zou, co-produced by Cyber Group Studios and the Singaporean-based company Scrawl Studios. Zou features a lovable five-year-old zebra and the series has been pre-sold to Disney Junior in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, as well as France Télévisions Télé Québec in Canada, TV2 in Norway, YLE in Finland, Karusel in CIS and Welpol in Poland.

Zou has been very well received by the broadcasters since the beginning of the production,” said Carole Brin, the head of international sales and acquisitions at Cyber Group Studios, “and we’ll be very proud to show them the first episodes at MIP Junior. The production value which includes new technological developments is really high and we know that the series will seduce all buyers looking for shows for aimed at 3 to 7."

Cyber Group will also introduce Patch Pillows, produced by GDC and AGOGO Corporation. The preschool series is about a group of patchwork pillows and their friends. Nutri Ventures, produced by Nutri Ventures Corporation, is a series that encourages healthy eating for 6- to 10-year-olds. The series was coproduced with RTP in Portugal and has already been pre-sold to Canal Panda.

Tales of Tatonka, which was launched at MIPCOM 2010, is still in production with more than 20 broadcasters covering 80 territories. Rai in Italy and Pop TV in Slovenia have picked up Fish n’Chips, an HD CGI co-production between Cyber Group Studios, Timoon Animation and SAMG, and Guess What, an interactive series co-produced by Cyber Group Studios and Lagardère Active.

Ozie Boo Save The Planet, a co-produced with TiJi and in association with the WWF was recently picked up by CFI in Africa, Hop in Israel, and KTH in Korea. Manon, co-produced by Cyber Group Studios, Sardine Productions and Planet Nemo, already airs on channels such as France 5 and TiJi in France, NHK in Japan, Ecuavisa, Radio Canada, Disney Latin America and has just been sold to Ceska TV. Grenadine and Peppermint, a comedy series co-produced by Patoon, Cyber Group Studios and La Fabrique d’Images for TF1, has just been secured by TV5 Worldwide and True Visions in Thailand.

Animalia, produced by Burberry Production, Lux Monky and DoubleBase, and distributed worldwide by Cyber Group Studios, has already been sold to 130 countries. Raju, an Indian CGI preschool series produced by Accel Animation in India has just been picked up by TVB in Hong Kong, True Visions in Thailand and CQuill in Malaysia.
