CTC Wraps Production on New Season of Hit Sitcom

MOSCOW, July 22: CTC Media
has finished production on the ninth season of the sitcom My Fair Nanny, with scripts for the new episodes developed
exclusively for the Russian broadcaster.

My Fair Nanny, which will premiere its ninth season this fall on
the CTC Network, is a Russian adaptation of the original U.S. series The
Nanny
, produced by Sony Pictures
Television. The previous 133 episodes were adapted from the U.S. version for
Russian viewers by Amedia in conjunction with Sony Pictures Television
International (SPTI). The scripts for the 40 new episodes were developed by U.S.
writers with Russian creative teams and coordinated by SPTI.

All eight seasons have
averaged an audience share of 28.4 percent among CTC’s target demographic of
viewers ages 6 to 54.

Alexander Rodnyansky, the CEO of CTC Media, said: “The new season of My
Fair Nanny
is an unprecedented
event for the Russian TV market as it marks the first time that authors of an
original, non-Russian series have developed new episodes specifically for
Russian TV viewers. This project is the result of an effective cooperation
between CTC Media and SPTI.”
