Crackle App Delivers Movies, TV Series

CULVER CITY: Sony Pictures Entertainment’s online entertainment network Crackle has launched an app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that delivers full-length feature films and TV series for free.

“Crackle is the unrivaled destination for un-cut feature films and television series,” said Eric Berger, senior VP of digital networks at Sony Pictures Television. “With the launch of this app, iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users now have access to a great, new entertainment service."

More than 200 titles from Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Classics are available to watch for free. The lineup includes Bad Boys, The Da Vinci Code, Pineapple Express, A Few Good Men and Ghostbusters. In addition to the on-demand availability of Crackle’s full-length movies and television series, the app allows users to access Crackle’s original content.
