Corus Acquires Two CTVglobemedia Nets

TORONTO: Corus Entertainment is spending C$40 million to acquire the specialty services Drive-In Classics and SexTV from CTVglobemedia. 

"These services are currently available in over two million households and provide a great base to grow their audiences and increase their appeal to our advertising customers," said John Cassaday, the president and CEO of Corus Entertainment.

Corus’s suite of networks currently includes YTV, Treehouse, W Network, CosmoTV, VIVA, Movie Central and HBO Canada. The deal is subject to approval by the CRTC.
