CANNES: Content Television has signed up ABC TV in Australia for more than 50 hours of its children’s drama and comedy programming.

The deal included Even Stevens, a live-action drama starring Shia LeBeouf, and The Assistants, a comedy following the misadventures of four Hollywood assistants. Also in the mix is Black Hole High, a live-action drama about teens in a secret after-school science club. Rounding out the package is Young Dracula, a comedy from CBBC Productions.

Saralo MacGregor at Content Television commented, “We are delighted to conclude this deal with ABC TV at the market. The range of titles acquired is a fantastic example of the strength of our children’s programming portfolio, showcasing just a highlight of the innovative, high-quality content available, all perfect for this hard-to-reach target market. We look forward to seeing the shows’ debut in Australia later this year and are confident they will prove as successful here as they have around the world.”

Barbara Uecker at ABC TV added, “Content Television is a great place to find very strong comedy and high-quality children’s programs. We’re looking forward to have these great shows air on ABC TV.”
