Content Continues Sales on Thorne

LONDON: Content Television, which recently rebranded from Fireworks International, has sold the crime thriller Thorne into more than 120 territories.

The drama made its debut in the U.K. and was one of Sky1’s top performing shows of 2010. It was then quickly licensed to The Movie Network and Movie Central in Canada and ABC in Australia. Content Television has now secured deals for the show throughout Europe, with sales to DR Denmark, TV4 Sweden, NRK Norway, YLE Finland and Panvision for Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, as well as Tele München Gruppe (TMG) in a pan-European deal, including France, Italy, Germany and Spain, among others.

Thorne has also been picked up by Daro in a pan-territory deal that includes Africa, Eastern Europe, CIS and the Baltic States, the Middle East and Turkey; Sky TV for Prime in New Zealand; Kenny & Co in South Korea; WOWOW in Japan and AXN in a pan-territory deal for Latin America.

Since its highly rated debut on Sky1 in the U.K. last year, demand for the drama has been extremely high and we are delighted to see Thorne heading to broadcasters throughout the world.”
