Comedy Central Ups Val Boreland

NEW YORK: Val Boreland has been promoted from VP of program and promotion scheduling to senior VP of programming, promotion and multiplatform strategy at Comedy Central.

Boreland continues to oversee Comedy Central’s programming group, including program and promotion scheduling. Additionally, she will manage the network’s content across all platforms, covering VOD, wireless and emerging platforms. Boreland is based at the company’s New York offices. She reports to David Bernath, the executive VP of program strategy and multiplatform programming. 

"Val is the lynchpin of our 360-degree approach to programming the network," said Bernath. "Off-net platforms and on-air strategies have to work seamlessly to maximize ratings—and she makes it happen."
