Comedy Central Scores Harold & Kumar, Be Kind Rewind

NEW YORK, May 29: In a
deal with New Line Cinema, Comedy Central has picked up the first-window
broadcast premiere rights to Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, as well as a broadcast window for Be Kind
Rewind with Jack Black.

The Viacom-owned cable
channel will broadcast the network TV premiere of Harold & Kumar Escape
from Guantanamo Bay, the hit
sequel to Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, in October 2010. The film sees the return of the
slacker anti-heroes, stoners Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn). The
channel is set to air Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle on June 28.

Comedy Central also has a
broadcast window for Be Kind Rewind,
which was written and directed by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the
Spotless Mind).
