Comedy Central Names Brand Marketing VP

NEW YORK, October 31:
Comedy Central has named former USA Network executive Deena Stern as the VP of brand marketing.

Stern
will report to Peter Risafi, Comedy
Central’s senior VP of brand marketing and executive creative director. In her
new role, she will be charged with all brand-marketing initiatives for Comedy
Central, including consumer and trade
advertising, digital marketing, ancillary business marketing and network
events. Stern will also work with the Content Distribution and Partner
Marketing Group to support their programs and ensure the network’s programming
priorities are clear across all distribution platforms.

Prior
to joining Comedy Central, Stern served a 10-year tenure at USA Network, most
recently as the senior director of brand marketing strategy. She also oversaw
the strategic development, media planning, consumer promotions and creative
development for network initiatives including The Starter Wife, Monk, Psych, Burn Notice and The 4400.

Risafi commented: “I am
