Clouds TV Signs Content Deal with MTV Networks Africa

LONDON: The Tanzanian free-to-air channel Clouds TV has signed up for a range of music and lifestyle programming from the pan-African music channel MTV base.

MTV base programming will air from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Sunday, as well as from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Clouds TV starting August 10. Programming in the early end of the evening will include a half-hour of Big Base Beats, followed by 30 minutes of international reality and lifestyle programming with shows such as Run’s House, My Super Sweet 16 and Pimp My Ride. The late-night slot will focus on African music programs, including African Allstars, MVP: Most Voted Playlist, Retrobase, the Official African Chart and 10 Biggest Tracks Right Now.

Alex Okosi, the senior VP and managing director for MTV Networks Africa, said, “We are thrilled to partner with Clouds TV to expand the reach of MTV base programming to terrestrial TV viewers in Tanzania.”
