Classic Media Takes on My Life Me

LONDON: Classic Media has expanded its portfolio, taking on the international rights for all media, including licensing and merchandising, to the tween show My Life Me, previously represented by TV-Loonland.

The 52×11-minute series is produced by Canadian-based CarpeDiem Film & TV and French-based ODM. France Televisions, Canal J and TELETOON Canada are slated to launch the show this year. The animated comedy for the 8-to-12 set is based around four lead characters trying to make sense of tween life.

"We’re delighted to be working with Olivier Dumont and CarpeDiem and hope this is just the beginning of a very successful partnership," said Chloe van den Berg, the executive VP of international at Classic Media. The acquisition of My Life Me adds a new dimension to our portfolio and marks the beginning of a strategic growth phase for the company.”

Marie-Claude Beauchamp, the president and executive producer of CarpeDiem Film & TV, added, "The enthusiasm with which Classic Media has embraced My Life Me thrills us—with them on board, we can be confident that this show that we are so proud of will be seen by a truly global audience.”

The series will be accompanied by a strong interactive component, with a full website as well as 26 original shorts, 9 bloopers and 4 music video clips for mobile, online or VOD exploitation.
