LONDON, August 16: Estelle
Hughes has stepped down as the controller of ITV’s kids’ channel CITV to work
in the independent production sector.

According to BBC News,
Hughes will now work as a consultant to production companies. Her decision to
step down follows ITV’s announcement that it would stop producing its own kids’
shows in an effort to cut costs.
