Cisneros Eyes New Broadcast License in Colombia

BOGOTÁ, January 18: Gustavo Cisneros, the chairman and CEO of the Cisneros Group of Companies, has expressed his intent to take part in the auction for a new commercial broadcasting license in Colombia.

Last month, three top executives from the Cisneros Group of Companies—Carlos Bardasano, VP; Steven Bandel, president and COO; and Luis Emilio Gómez Godoy, VP and the head of the legal department—met with the Comisión Nacional de Televisión (CNTV) director, Ricardo Galán to express interest in the new terrestrial broadcasting license.
