MUNICH: CINEPOOL, the international film sales arm of Germany’s TELEPOOL, concluded a number of deals from its attendance at this year’s American Film Market (AFM).

The 3D versions of the animated films 7 Dwarves: The 7th Dwarf and Legends of Valhalla: Thor scored presales in the Benelux and Indonesia. The film adaptation of Enid Blyton’s bestseller Hanni & Nanni wrapped sales in Spain, the Benelux, Turkey and China. The Blue-Eyes production Lilly the Witch: The Dragon and the Magic Book and its sequel, Lilly the Witch: The Journey to Mandolan, were sold to Indonesia.

When We Leave landed further sales in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Central America and Israel. Life is Too Long and Soul Boy head to the screen in Russia. The Swiss sci-fi production Cargo was sold to Korea. Strong international interest was also shown for Single by Contract and The Days to Come.

“We are very satisfied with the sales at the AFM and the very positive response,” said Moritz Hemminger, the sales manager for theatrical at CINEPOOL. At the same time, our growing sales figures attest to the high quality and competitiveness of German offerings on the international market.”
