Cineflix Taps Piers Vellacott as Chief Commercial Officer

Cineflix has bolstered its senior leadership team with the appointment of Piers Vellacott as chief commercial officer of content and executive producer.

Vellacott will be responsible for driving Cineflix’s overall commercial strategy across its unscripted and scripted content and will also have oversight of the C3 Media and Buccaneer slates. He will work closely with the group’s development and production teams in North America and the U.K. to leverage the financing opportunities that Cineflix can bring together.

Vellacott spent 16 years as chief commercial officer and executive producer at RAW, where he oversaw long-running series such as Gold Rush and Locked Up Abroad and award-winning documentaries like The Tinder Swindler, The Imposter and Three Identical Strangers. His scripted portfolio as executive producer includes American Animals, Dream Horse and Encounter.
