Cineflix Rights Makes Nordic Sales

LONDON: A record number of sales have been secured by Cineflix Rights with broadcasters across the Nordic region, with volume deals for 39 shows.

The seventh season of Border Security is headed to Kanal 5 in Sweden, TV Norge in Norway and Nelonen in Finland. Nelonen took 12 titles in total, also including Inside the Box with Ty Pennington, Dinner Party Wars and seasons six through eight of Property Virgins. TV Norge also went for the entire series of Princess. TV4 in Sweden bought five titles, including Conviction Kitchen. Property Virgins was also sold to TV3 Puls in Denmark under a deal with Viasat, which has also picked up Murder She Solved: True Crime.

Sandra Piha, Cineflix Rights’ head of sales for Scandinavia, said: “The Nordic markets are particularly competitive so selling titles into this region is a good indication of their global appeal and Cineflix Rights’ premier position in the Scandinavian market place. I expect there to be strong demand at MIP and other forthcoming markets.”
