Cineflix International Inks Mediaset Output Deal

LONDON, May 3: Cineflix International has struck a two-year
rolling volume output deal with Italian broadcaster Mediaset.

Under the agreement, three of Cineflix’s in-house produced
factual entertainment shows will initially head to Mediaset: the 6×1-hour
series Trapped: Escape From Disaster, which
brings to life some of the greatest disaster escape stories ever told; the
6×1-hour Final 24, which was
recently completed for Sky and Discovery Europe; and the 15×30-minute series Urban
Legends, which will air on Mediaset’s
Italia 1 in July. Trapped: Escape From Disaster and Final 24 will air on Rete4.

The agreement will also cover a range of shows that have
been produced from both the Canadian and U.K. production bases, all of which
are original commissions.

The distributor has also secured sales of its in-house
productions to other broadcasters in Italy, including the first and second
seasons of Zero Hour and Tenerife:
Crash of the Century to RAI Education and
all five seasons of Dogs With Jobs
to La Sette.
