CIMG Seals Asia-Pac Deals

SINGAPORE: Content from E!, Style, G4 and Golf Channel has been sold across a number of distribution platforms in the Asia Pacific, including linear broadcast, on demand, mobile and DVD, by Comcast International Media Group (CIMG).

“We’re pleased to make some of the most loved titles from CIMG’s catalogue available everywhere and anytime on multiple platforms,” said Christine Fellowes, managing director for the Asia Pacific at CIMG. “E!, Style, G4 and Golf Channel have a huge fan base across Asia Pacific, and now our viewers will be able to access at their leisure their favorite series that feature some of the most popular and memorable personalities from our channels via on demand, mobile or DVD, and of course, TV.”

Network Ten in Australia has taken Golf Channel’s The Haney Project: Charles Barkley, The Haney Project: Ray Romano, Golf in America, Golf with Style, The Big Break III: Ladies Only and Sports Jobs for One HD. Premier Media Group renewed G4’s X-Play and Attack of the Show for Fuel TV. Also in Australia, Seven Network picked up season four of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, while Nine Network licensed The E! True Hollywood Story: Charlie Sheen.

Also scoring broadcast slots was E!’s Fashion Police, with Zee Trendz in India and Velvet in The Philippines, while another E! show, Battle of the Hollywood Hotties, went to AXN in Japan. South Korea’s Fashion N channel went for Style Star, What I Hate About Me, Tacky House and the third season of Style Her Famous.

On the pan-regional front, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific picked up Style’s Dress My Nest, Tacky House and How Do I Look? for TLC.

In terms of multiplatform deals, Vodafone Hutchison Australia had licensed E!’s mobile channel, while on the DVD front, Shock Entertainment has inked the distribution rights for 170 hours of CIMG programming, including Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Victoria Silvestedt: My Perfect Life, Living Lohan, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, Dr. 90210, Sunset Tan, Code Monkeys and Sexiest.
