Chilean Deal for Singing Bee

SANTIAGO, November 27: Promofilm has inked a deal
with UC-TV in Chile for a local version of The Singing Bee
format for launch in January 2008.

A name for the Chilean version of the show, first
launched in the U.S. on NBC, has not been announced. Hosted by Sergio Lagos,
the local edition will air in a prime-time slot. Promofilm Argentina owns the
format rights for the property in South America. The Singing Bee was
created by Phil Gurin and is represented by Zeal Entertainment. It challenges
contestants to remember the lyrics to popular songs.
