HILVERSUM: A raft of deals have been closed across Central and Eastern Europe on titles from Endemol’s stable of comedy, factual and reality shows.

HBO Eastern Europe picked up the zombie thriller Dead Set as well as comedy sketch series Spoons. NTN Ukraine went for the U.S., U.K. and Australian versions of the obstacle-course competition Wipeout. The channel will air seasons one and two of the U.S. show, and season one from the U.K. and Australia. Also in Ukraine, factual entertainment shows Gok’s Fashion Fix, Supersize vs Superskinny and The Sex Education Show were picked up by CITI channel. CITI ordered two seasons of each series.

BBC Poland also acquired Supersize vs Superskinny and Dead Set, as well as season two of the factual-entertainment hit Coleen’s Real Women. The first five seasons of the U.S. series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition also went to BBC Poland. America’s Most Smartest Model, from 51 Minds Entertainment, is to air on MTV Russia.

Endemol’s director of sales, Matt Creasey, said: "Central and Eastern Europe is an important region to Endemol and it’s great to see there is such a strong appetite for these shows here. Our distribution portfolio for DISCOP this year offers broadcasters top-rating programming from around the world in all genres from drama through to reality TV."

Further titles on offer from Endemol at DISCOP include the comedy drama series Nini, which launched at the L.A. Screenings. Also making a market debut is the British factual-entertainment hit Extreme Male Beauty and Endemol USA’s docu-soap Southern Belles.
