CBS Reality Takes Trio of Paranormal Series

LONDON: CBS Reality, the British entertainment channel owned by Chello Zone and CBS Studios International, has added three new paranormal series to its schedule: Rescue Mediums, Colin Fry Live and The Three Mediums.

CBS Reality has secured the U.K. premiere rights to season four of Rescue Mediums. The series, produced by Lamport Sheppard, features psychics Jackie Dennison and Alison Wynne-Ryder, who work to rid homes and businesses of ghosts using their premonitions and spirit guides to help them on their path.

Colin Fry Live and The Three Mediums also received pickups. The Three Mediums brings together psychic mediums Derek Acorah, Colin Fry and TJ Higgs. Each will give emotional one-to-one readings to special celebrity guests. Colin Fry Live follows Fry and Higgs as they travel across the country passing on messages from "the other side" to loved ones in the audience.

Further paranormal series on CBS Reality’s slate include Crossing Over with John Edward and the commissioned Psychic Private Eyes.

Sam Rowden, Chello Zone’s director of programming for reality and new media, said: “CBS Reality has a well-established and popular strand of paranormal prime-time programming and we are very pleased to have acquired three exciting new series for the channel lineup in 2010. Since its re-launch, CBS Reality has gone from strength to strength and we’re confident that these new shows will see the channel continue to grow and be recognized as the home of entertaining and thought-provoking reality TV in the U.K.”
