ORIGIN: The property is an original idea developed by a group of
designers and writers at Those Characters From Cleveland, an American Greetings
subsidiary company, in 1981. The concept of brightly colored bears with caring
missions and belly badges who teach kids about sharing feelings and caring was
created by this group. The Marketing and Design group, associated with Kenner
Toys at that time, was involved with development for products.

TV SHOW: The Care Bears, everyone’s favorite bears, filled with
warmth, caring and humor, are back with an all-new animated TV series of
delightful tales from Care-a-lot. The 48 11-minute episodes and 2 22-minute
episodes will feature a fresh and contemporary twist on the classic property.
The series targets 4- to 8-year-olds.

The show will premiere on CBS’s
Saturday morning block in September. Prior to the launch of the series, a CGI
feature film called Oopsy Does It will
be released in August.

MAIN BROADCASTER: The show will premiere on CBS’s Saturday morning block in
September.

MASTER TOY LICENSEE: Play Along is the master toy licensee for Care Bears. New
products for 2007 include a special 25th Anniversary Bear and a refreshed line
of plush in an all-new look.

OTHER PRODUCTS: CDs, T-shirts for babies, bedding sets for toddlers, and
interactive bears such as Hide ‘n Seek Bears, and the Care Bears Magic Guessing
Game – Smart Heart Bear.

STRATEGY FOR ROLLOUT: In occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Care Bears property, not only will AG Properties launch a CGI
theatrical film and a new TV series, the company is also releasing DVDs which
will be distributed by Fox Home Entertainment in the U.S.

“The new Care Bears has a little more sophisticated feel than the original
series,” explains Josef Mandelbaum, the CEO of AG Intellectual Properties. “We
are developing characters that are a little edgier. They are still lovable and
full of emotion, but they have a newer look. Before all the bears were the same
size. In the new series each is a little different from the other, in order to
highlight each bear’s personality.”

As part of the Care Bears 25th
anniversary celebration, Play Along, a division of JAKKS Pacific, will be unveiling a line of plush bears with a whole new
look, plus a special limited edition Commemorative 25th Anniversary Care Bear,
a silver and white plush Care Bear.

To mark the anniversary there will
also be a limited edition DVD release of the original Care Bears Movie! The lovable Care Bears classic has been digitally restored
and re-mastered for high-quality viewing.
