Canamedia Takes On Vincent van Gogh Doc

TORONTO: Canamedia has secured the rights to a new documentary on the life and death of Vincent van Gogh, Vincent: The Untold Story of Our Uncle.

Vincent: The Untold Story of Our Uncle is a biography of the life and times of painter Vincent van Gogh. When artist John Koenders discovered he was related to van Gogh he undertook a journey to reveal the true details of van Gogh’s tumultuous life. The documentary is filmed entirely where van Gogh lived and transports the audience into early 20th century Europe.

Johanna Samuel, the VP of development, acquisitions and international documentary sales at Canamedia, said, “This is the definitive documentary on Vincent van Gogh revealed and directed by members of his family and we are very excited and proud to introduce and represent this film—with the recent revelations and controversy surrounding Vincent’s life and death, the film brings renewed intrigue and excitement to such a great artist and his enduring masterpieces.”
