TORONTO: Canamedia is headed to MIPTV with a slate of original 3D lifestyle and factual titles from its new 3D production division.

Leading off Canamedia’s catalogue is The World’s Greatest Carnivals, a travel series that takes viewers to carnivals around the world, including Quebec’s Winter Carnival and New Orleans’ Mardi Gras. Also on offer will be the 1×1-hour program Ice Hotels, which features Quebec City’s Ice Hotel and its 36 themed, ice-constructed suites shot in 3D for the first time.

Canamedia’s Stratton in Time shows maestro Kerry Stratton exploring life, love and musical compositions within the minds of Brahms, Beethoven, Vivaldi and other composers. Rounding out Canamedia’s slate is the 13×30-minute series The World’s Greatest Cathedrals, featuring the history and architecture behind the world’s most renowned cathedrals through a 3D lens.

Mike Lolato, the managing director of worldwide broadcast sales for Canamedia, commented: “We are delighted with visually arresting 3D content that has been produced by our new production division, resulting in a greatly expanded catalogue of 3D product for the market."
