CANAL+ Pacts with Thomson Smart TVs

The CANAL+ app will be preinstalled on models of Thomson smart TVs across a raft of European markets.

The alliance brings the CANAL+ app, along with the group’s local apps—among them Skylink, FOCUS+, TV Vlaanderen and Télésat—to Thomson TVs in all the European markets CANAL+ operates in. These include France, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium and Romania. The pact includes the apps being installed on the latest models, powered by TiVo. Thomson smart TV remote controls will also include a CANAL+ button.

CANAL+ and Thomson will also partner on marketing and commercial initiatives, among them co-branded packaging and exclusive promotional offers both online and in stores.
