TORONTO: DHX Media has licensed a number of series to BBC Kids in Canada, among them Olliver’s Adventures.

A total of 75 hours of DHX programming is headed to BBC Kids in Canada, which is now operated by Knowledge Network. The deal includes Olliver’s Adventures, about a hyper-kinetic boy with a big imagination who wants to save the world. D’Myna Leagues tells stories of growing up, making friends and having fun while doing it all. The family-oriented What About Mimi? centers on 11-year-old Mimi Morton, a straight-shooter who typically says what everyone else only dares to think. Yakkity Yak follows a high-school class clown, who strives to shine as the next comic superstar. The factual show Be the Creature? features Chris and Martin Kratt as they explore the biology, physiology and natural behavior of a unique creature.

Craig McGillivray, the territory manager at DHX Media, said: “Alongside interest in our new programming, we are seeing a considerable demand in the marketplace for package deals from our library; as highlighted by this sale to BBC Kids. The channel has committed to a significant number of programming hours from our extensive catalogue of established content.”
