TORONTO/WELLINGTON: The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and NZ On Air (New Zealand) have renewed their joint incentive for digital media co-production.

The total amount of funding available is C$1 million ($754,000), with half contributed by each the CMF and NZ On Air to fund up to three eligible projects. The total maximum contribution for each funded project will be C$400,000 ($302,000). The contribution from each funding organization to each project will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

"The CMF is committed to building on the success of the Canada/New Zealand partnership that was established last year,” said CMF's president and CEO, Valerie Creighton. “We are delighted to respond to the overwhelming interest from producers from both countries by renewing our agreement again this year. I would like to thank NZ On Air Chief Executive Jane Wrightson and her team for working with the CMF and providing this opportunity for our production communities to do business together.”

"This has been an exciting and innovative fund to manage with CMF," said NZ On Air's chief executive, Jane Wrightson. "The response to the initiative from New Zealand content producers was overwhelmingly positive. We looked forward to more great collaborations in the coming year."
