C4i’s Peep Show Lands Japanese Broadcaster

LONDON, January 14: Japan’s WOWOW channel has picked up the first three seasons of the hit C4i comedy series Peep Show to air later this year.

C4i has also sold the British comedy to 2×2 in Russia, FX Channel in Asia and TV4 in Sweden. Now in its sixth season, Peep Show follows two 20-something roommates living in south London, Mark (David Mitchell) and Jeremy (Robert Webb). Mark is the sensible one, while Jeremy is a loose cannon.

Patrick Roberts, the VP of international sales for C4i, said, "We’re delighted with the success of Peep Show particularly as it has sold to a number of diverse and major territories. Moreover, it is very rare for English comedy to be picked up in Japan and without doubt WOWOW is an extremely prestigious home for this multi-award-winning series."
