C4i Shores Up Scandinavian Deals

LONDON, October 30:
Digital Rights Group-owned C4i has closed a raft of post-MIPCOM deals with
broadcasters in Scandinavia for a number of its comedy, drama and documentary
titles.

TV4 Sweden picked up a
package that included The Inbetweeners,
which follows the misadventures of four suburban teens; Peep Show, starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb; and the drama Shameless, following the happenings of
the unpredictable Gallagher family. TV4 also scooped up a number of
documentaries, including 9/11 Faker,
about one of the world’s most audacious hoaxes; Ninety Naps a Day, following four British narcoleptics; and The Worlds…and Me, from Firefly.

Also for Sweden, Viasat
TV8 signed up for White Teeth, a
comedy about three families from London whose past and present intertwine, and Millionaire’s Mission, a factual series
that follows eight wealthy business leaders on a mission for a leading charity.

Season two of The Choir, about a choirmaster who is
determined to bring singing back to schools, went to YLE Finland. As did Ochberg’s Orphans, a documentary about a
South African businessman who undertook a mission to rescue Jewish orphans in
the 1920s.
