C4I Closes Property Format Deals

LONDON, October 11:
XYZnetworks’ The LifeStyle Channel in Australia and M6 in France have acquired
the format rights to Channel 4 International’s (C4I) British property series Selling
Houses.

Produced by Ricochet in
the U.K., Selling Houses shows
viewers how to sell their property and rise above the competition. The series
follows stressed homeowners whose properties have been stuck on the market for
months and are desperate for a solution.

In France, the local
version will be produced by Reservoir Productions. A transmission date has not
been announced.

A production company is
yet to be named for the The LifeStyle Channel commission. “Australians have an
insatiable appetite for all things property,” said Bruce Mann, the CEO of
XYZnetworks. “The LifeStyle Channel has the best selection of property shows
from around the world and leads the way with the genre in the country. Selling
Houses is consistently one of the
channel’s most watched shows and we are thrilled to have secured the format and
to be bringing our viewers an Australian series.”
