Busytown Mysteries Gets Canadian Website

TORONTO: Cookie Jar Entertainment and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) have unveiled a dedicated Busytown Mysteries website, offering preschoolers the chance to interact with the hit series through a variety of games and other elements.

The website, located at busytownmysteries.ca or kidscbc.ca/busytownmysteries, features interactive games with educational objectives. Aside from games, the website includes creative projects and activities, such as My Recycling, My Counting and My Painting. There is also a My First Email function on the site.

Busytown Mysteries is inspired by the classic works of children’s author Richard Scarry. The cast of characters includes Huckle and Sally Cat, Lowly Worm, Pig Will and Pig Won’t.

“We’re thrilled to partner with CBC on this new website that gives preschoolers the opportunity to be part of the exciting Busytown world,” said Kenneth Locker, the senior VP of digital media at Cookie Jar Entertainment. “With a host of interactive and educational games as well as My First Email, this website is the perfect complement to Cookie Jar’s popular Busytown Mysteries TV series.”

“Kids’ CBC is excited to welcome the new Busytown Mysteries online environment to our interactive offering at kidscbc.ca,” added Frank Desimini, the senior producer for kids’ interactive at CBC. “We know kids are eagerly waiting to play with Huckle and his friends online.”
