BT Vision in VOD Deal with Sony

LONDON: BT Vision has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television for the video-on-demand rights to a range of new and library feature films, including Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

The British digital TV service will also have the rights to Angels & Demons, The International, Seven Pounds and Rachel Getting Married, among others.
All are available on a pay-per-view basis without the need for a subscription.


Announcing the deal, Marc Watson, the chief executive of television and online services at BT Retail, noted: “We’re delighted to reach agreement with Sony Pictures so that we can offer BT Vision customers many exciting films and classic hits from one of Hollywood’s best and most respected studios. The addition of Sony Pictures movies to BT Vision is a substantial, high profile addition to our service. It means we now have long-term deals with all the major studios.”
