British Comedies Coming to BBC America

LONDON: The Inbetweeners and sketch comedy Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show are slated to make their U.S. premiere on BBC America later this year.

A Bwark Production distributed by C4i, The Inbetweeners takes a look at the humiliations of teenage life. Set in middle-class suburbia, The Inbetweeners follows four friends as they try to navigate the tough times of growing up and dealing with crushes, sibling brawls, getting drunk too quickly and crushing on the girl next door. The show was written and created by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, who were involved with Peep Show, The 11 O’Clock Show and The Flight of the Conchords.

Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show, a World’s End production distributed by BBC Worldwide, features sketch comedy full of spoofs, skits, impersonations and original characters.
