TORONTO: Breakthrough Entertainment has signed up to co-produce the new half-hour cooking series Vikram Vij: India Infused with SILO Entertainment and Free Form Productions.

Production on 13 half-hour episodes will begin in the fall. In the series, chef Vikram Vij will take viewers to the far reaches of India to explore the region’s cuisine. "We are more than eager to be collaborating with Free Form Productions and SILO on working with one of Canada’s renowned Indian Chefs, his unique take on the cuisine of many regions and his journey back to some of the most exotic of locations across that colorful country," said Nat Abraham, the head of distribution for Breakthrough.

“SILO Entertainment is excited to be partnered with Breakthrough Films & Television as the series global distributor and co-producer. Breakthrough is a successful content distributor with established relationships in Canada and around the world. This was the exact partnership we were after,” added Mel D’Souza, producer for SILO.
