Bravo Increases Unscripted Programming Roster

PASADENA: Along with giving the go-ahead for a number of returning series, Bravo has picked up a range of new unscripted shows, increasing its programming by an additional 20 percent this year.

Previously in development, two docuseries have been added to the network’s roster that feature women well-known from previous Bravo originals. Bethenny’s Getting Married? features The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Bethenny Frankel, and Thintervention with Jackie Warner centers on the celebrity trainer from Work Out. Both series are produced by Shed Media U.S. for Bravo.

New series include 9 By Design, an eight-episode docseries that looks at a husband and wife team who own a renovation and design firm in New York that specializes in creating unique living spaces. The show, produced by Left/Right, is to premiere April 5. Also premiering in April, Double Exposure follows photographers Markus Klinko and Indrani, along with high-end stylist GK Reid, giving viewers a taste of the world of high fashion and celebrity photography. The show is produced by Juma Entertainment. Kell on Earth, slated for a February 1 premiere, spotlights the world of fashion PR through the eyes of Kelly Cutrone, who runs People’s Revolution. Magical Elves is producing the show. Magical Elves is also behind Top Chef: Desserts, a spin-off off the successful Bravo franchise. Gail Simmons has signed on to host the pastry competition. Rounding out the new series is Work of Art: The Next Great Artists, slated for a premiere in June. From Sarah Jessica Parker and her production company, Pretty Matches, along with Magical Elves, the hour-long creative competition features contemporary artists.

There are also a number of series returning for new seasons on Bravo, including Flipping Out, back for a fourth run. Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List heads into its sixth season, while The Rachel Zoe Project and The Real Housewives of Atlanta are each returning for a third. The Millionaire Matchmaker, The Real Housewives of New York City, Shear Genius, Top Chef Masters and Watch What Happens: Live are all set to return to Bravo as well.

"Bravo continues to grow our highly engaged audience, powered by the network’s signature characters, talented experts and their aspirational lifestyles," said Frances Berwick, the executive VP and general manager for Bravo Media. "Developing shows around these addictive personalities is the secret sauce in allowing us to nearly double our original hours over the past three years, and to feed that passion across all consumer touchpoints."
