LOS ANGELES: BoPaul Media Worldwide has acquired the global distribution rights, excluding North America, for VCI Entertainment's catalogue of vintage and new indie films, which will be showcased at next week's MIPCOM.

There are 600 titles, including Murder Rap, starring John Hawkes (Winter's Bone); Rhineland, which takes place at the end of World War II in Europe; and Thor at the Bus Stop and 2 Little Monsters, both of which come from David Schmoeller. Among the older movies are The Brave One, from Oscar-winning writer Dalton Trumbo; Quackser Fortune, led by Gene Wilder and Margot Kidder; and First Love, starring and directed by Maximilian Schell.

The VCI library also comprises such vintage TV series as The New Loretta Young Show, Cisco Kid, Captain Midnight, The Phantom and King of the Royal Mounted Police. There are more than 400 episodes of these shows.
