BlueHighways TV, Comcast in New Carriage Deal

HENDERSONVILLE, May 19: BlueHighways
TV (BHTV), a multiplatform network that explores the people, stories,
traditions and music of America, has inked a multi-year distribution agreement
that will make its linear and VOD services available to Comcast Cable
subscribers.

BHTV programming features
roots music—bluegrass, blues, folk western, gospel and traditional
country—outdoor adventure and agriculture, lifestyle, cooking, equestrian
and a variety of other subjects. Original programming available on the network
includes American Journeys, a
one-hour documentary-style program that looks at the diverse land and people of
America; The BHTV Sampler,
featuring segments about lifestyle, traditions, characters and music that
provide insight into Americana; the 30-minute travelogue Due West; Heart To Heart, featuring sit-down interviews with the stars and
old legends of country, gospel, western and bluegrass to talk and play the
music that has shaped their lives; Old Country Church, a tribute to American roots told through
traditional, country and bluegrass gospel music and stories from church elders
and historians; Reno's Old Time Music Festival, spotlighting bluegrass music; and Woodsongs, a one-hour program that is filmed live from the
Kentucky Theater in Lexington and features the best in bluegrass and folk
music.
