Blue Mountain State Returning to Spike TV

NEW YORK: Spike TV has ordered a third season of 13 episodes of its original scripted comedy Blue Mountain State, produced by Varsity Pictures and Lionsgate.

The second season of the show delivered a 33-percent gain on the freshman run with men 18 to 34, 50 percent for men 18 to 24 and 14 percent with men 18 to 49. Blue Mountain State follows the antics of a college football team. Former NFL running back and actor Ed Marinaro (Hill Street Blues) stars as Coach Daniels. Denise Richards will reprise her role int he third installment as Coach Daniels’ ex-wife.
