Beyond to Showcase Factual Lineup at MIPTV

SYDNEY, April 5: Beyond Distribution is heading to MIPTV
with a diverse blend of factual entertainment, headlined by the fighter pilot
reality series Jetstream.

The 8×1-hour Jetstream chronicles the
white-knuckle adventures and trials of an elite group of Air Force fighter
pilots, as they learn to fly one of the world’s most advanced supersonic
tactical fighter jets, the $35-million dollar F-18 Hornet.

Also on offer is The Paper, a
fly-on-the-wall reality series following the editors of The Circuit, a Florida-high school paper. The series documents the
students’ struggles to balance the paper, their schoolwork and the
typical drama of teenage life. Other reality-based series include Tube Tales: TV’s Real Stories,
which bring people behind the scenes of hit television shows; and Fink, depicting the unconventional
crusade of a culinary arts teacher at Northwestern
Secondary School in Stratford,
Ontario, in Canada.

Also from the factual catalogue, Beyond is offering Sperm Wars, an hour-long special examining the high-stakes race
between sperm trying to fertilize an egg; The
Suicide Tourist,
chronicling the controversy over a person’s right to
die at a time and place of their own choosing; The Best of Australia, bringing viewers through the heart of the
land down under; and Cool Stuff: How It
Works
, exploring the mechanics behind everyday utilities.

In addition to the documentary features, Beyond will be bringing two new
series back to the market with a second season of Big City Broker and Maxed Out.
Big City Broker focuses on the angst,
joy, dramas and intrigue that make up Brad J. Lamb’s world of property
sales and development. Maxed Out features
an experienced financial expert who gives "tell-it-like-it-is" advice
while looking at the behavior of various individuals who find they never have
enough money in their wallet.

“We are pleased to be able to bring such fantastic programs to the
market,” said Fiona Crago, Beyond Distribution’s general manager.
“High-quality factual programming that covers such a wide range of
subject matter is one of our specialities.”
