SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution is set to launch its children’s series Tati’s Hotel at MIPTV.

The 26×15-minute series stars Mya-Lecia Naylor as Tati, the 8-year-old heroine who introduces guests to stay in a magical hotel where each room transforms into a custom-made environment. Tati’s Hotel is produced by Machine Productions in the U.K. and Screen Door Productions in Canada. The show is commissioned by ITV Breakfast and CITV and is set to launch on the channels in May and September, respectively.

Yvonne Body, the head of acquisitions for Beyond Distribution, said: “We are excited to be launching Tati’s Hotel at MIP and to be working with Machine Productions and Screen Door. It’s yet another example of the high-quality children’s programming being produced in the U.K. and Canada at the moment. I was fortunate to visit the production during filming in Cardiff and the cast and sets were just as magical in real life as they appear on screen.”

Jane Steventon, the director for Machine Productions, added: “During the casting process for Tati’s Hotel, Mya walked in the room and we knew instantly we had our star. Teamed with a gymnastic Bopper, a dancing Dizzee, a grumpy Mr. Snapweazle and an array of brilliantly realized puppets, we think Tati has the ‘Magic Factor.’ The show is all about empowering the audience and giving them a wide range of characters and stories to enjoy. We hope that Tati will become a character that inspires and delights family audiences around the world.”
