Berwick Tapped as GM of Bravo Media

NEW YORK, January 29: Frances Berwick has been named to the newly created position of general manager of
Bravo Media, with expanded responsibilities to include the creative vision and
direction for the American cable network.

Berwick previously held
the post of executive VP of programming and production since 2005, where she
supervised the business strategy and day-to-day oversight for all Bravo
programming, including original production, development, scheduling and
acquisitions. In addition to continued oversight of all programming and
production, Berwick’s new role will include expanded responsibilities such as
the marketing division, which encompasses all advertising campaigns, on and
off-air promotions, integrated consumer marketing, as well as the creative
vision and direction for the network.

Early on in her tenure
with the network, Berwick introduced such high-profile original series as Bravo
Profiles
, Michael Moore's The
Awful Truth
, Cirque du Soleil:
Fire Within
and The It Factor. She also oversaw programming for the Independent
Film Channel (IFC) and programmed Bravo and IFC's international networks in
Latin America and Canada. In 2003, Berwick oversaw the development and
production for the Emmy-winning series Queer Eye. After NBC acquisition’s of the Bravo brand in
2002, she developed, produced and launched Emmy-nominated series like Project
Runway
and Top Chef and Emmy-winning series Kathy Griffin: My Life
on the D-List
and The Real Housewives
of Orange County
, among others.
She is responsible for Bravo's most recent lineup of new hit series including Tim
Gunn's Guide to Style
, Shear
Genius
and Top Design. She has also overseen the channel's
longest-running original series, the 13-time Emmy-nominated Inside the
Actor's Studio
.

Berwick joined Bravo
Networks in 1996 from Channel 4 Television in the U.K., where she headed
international TV distribution and licensing.
