Bender Media Eyes Global Market

NEW YORK: Bender Media Services is expanding its distribution remit outside of Latin America, taking on the worldwide distribution rights to three factual series.

Since launching in 2006, the company has been focused on representing programs solely in Latin America. It has now taken on rights to The Travel Guy for Australia, New Zealand, the Far East and Latin America; and Aire Yoga and Kid Guides for all territories.

"We first came up with the idea to expand our sales operations globally after selling Caught on Tape to Nippon TV in Japan," said Susan Bender, the company’s president. "Since then, we’ve had a number of producers from around the world approach us about sales representation and felt that NATPE was the perfect market for us to announce this exciting new direction for the company."

The Travel Guy, with 13 half-hour episodes completed and another 13 in production in HD, airs on Travel Channel internationally. Aire Yoga is a 20×1-hour production featuring a well-known Spanish actress and yoga instructor, Anna Silvetti, in locations throughout Florida. And Kid Guides features two young hosts visiting destinations around the world.
