Beach House Pictures Staffs Up

SINGAPORE: Beach House Pictures has added Roger Cheng and Mashizan Masjum to its executive team.

Cheng is now the content and business development director, while Masjum will series produce a slate of programs for AETN, National Geographic and Discovery Channel.

Prior to this, Cheng worked at Discovery Networks Asia, where he has overseen more than 250 hours of programming since 2006. He has also worked at Reuters, the BCC and Al Jazeera.

Masjum has 15 years of factual TV production experience and has worked on series such as Border Wars and DogTown for National Geographic. He is the first Singaporean producer to write and direct a special (Inside The Volcano) for the History Channel in the U.S.

Jocelyn Little, the managing director at Beach House, said, “We are thrilled to have two such experienced talents joining our team; they will be major assets to our creative team and they are arriving at just the right time to help us through our growth spurt.”
