BBC’s 3rd & Bird to Launch on Disney Junior

NEW YORK: The BBC preschool series 3rd & Bird is to make its U.S. broadcast premiere on Disney Junior on September 26.

Disney Junior will air 25 20-minute episodes of the photo-puppetry animated series. The episodes feature music about the lives of Muffin Lovebird and friends who encounter problems for preschoolers such as making new friends and going somewhere new for the first time.

Ziggy Marley guest stars and sings several songs as he voices Ziggy the Parrot. Bird sounds and music are specially created by world champion music whistler Michael Barimo are featured in each episode and all music for is produced by Little Airplane’s Jeffrey Lesser.

The series was created by Josh Selig (The Wonder Pets!, Small Potatoes) and is produced in London and New York by his company, Little Airplane Productions. BBC Worldwide is currently seeking licensed consumer products partners for the U.S.
