BBC Worldwide to Launch Death in Paradise in Cannes

LONDON: BBC Worldwide is welcoming the stars of Death in Paradise, Ben Miller and Sara Martins, to Cannes, where they will be part of the launch of the new detective series.

Miller (The Armstrong & Miller Show, Primeval) and Martins (Tell No One, Little White Lies) will introduce the eight-part series to international buyers at a special event in Cannes on October 4. Death in Paradise is from the BBC and France Télévisions. It tells the story of a quintessential British cop who is posted to the Caribbean island of Sainte Marie. He, together with a local cop, most solve a series on murders.

Also premiering at MIPCOM from BBC Worldwide are Dickens’ adaptation Great Expectations, the crime thriller The Body Farm and the supernatural suspense series The Fades. Furthering offerings include Absolutely Fabulous: 20th Anniversary Specials and the children’s drama Sadie J.
