BBC Worldwide Signs Up Licensees for Retro Doctor Who Products

LONDON: BBC Worldwide has inked new deals with Bravado and Half Moon Bay to develop product ranges inspired by the classic days of Doctor Who. 

With artwork inspired by the fourth and fifth Doctors, the retro lines will feature some of the most popular images from the series. Bravado’s adult T-shirts and hoodies will be available at select retailers in time for the holidays. They will incorporate themes from the show from the late ’70s and ’80s. 

Half Moon Bay will produce a range of gifting items to launch by spring 2010. The line will initially include mugs, bags, wallets and keychains, as well as collectable items such as mini-mug sets. The Half Moon Bay line will also be using retro visuals. 

Partners have revealed that other lines, including hats, belts and greetings cards, are also in discussions for production.
