BBC Worldwide Productions Expands U.S. Operations

NEW YORK, February 12: BBC Worldwide Productions USA has
appointed a new team of executives for its Los Angeles operations, reporting to
Paul Telegdy, the senior VP of programming and production, as it looks to
bolster its slate for the U.S. networks.

Linda Giambrone, as the VP of production, will oversee
reality and game show titles, both those in development and commissions. She
has worked with BBC Worldwide Productions since its inception in 2005.

John Hesling, as the VP of creative affairs, will be tasked
with recognizing and developing new creative opportunities from both the BBC
and from third-party producers. He will also create original concepts in line
with network needs. He most recently executive produced U.S. versions of Honey

and One
Week to Save Your Marriage
for Discovery
Communications while running BBC Entertainment USA in New York.

Ian Moffitt has been named as the VP of programming and
content strategy. He has been tasked with managing business development and
strategy across BBC Worldwide Productions partnerships with U.K. producers,
with a responsibility to grow network and cable production in the U.S. Moffitt
previously headed up Transcend, the international rights exploitation joint
venture between Endeavor and IMG. He also spent time at Target Entertainment.

Alice Taylor, as the VP of digital content, will be driving
BBC Worldwide Productions’ Internet, mobile and gaming ambitions, having worked
directly with Ashley Highfield, the BBC’s director of future media and
technology.

absolute commitment to create and deliver innovative shows to U.S. networks,”

ourselves as a creative and highly skilled force in television production and
now is exactly the right time to take our capabilities to the next level.
Recent events have shown there is an incredible thirst for British programming
at the moment and we plan to capitalize on that. We now have absolutely the
right team of people in place to enable us to do it.”
